The Guy Who Invented Fire
I Didn't Get Where I Am Today cdep
Mechanical foot-scuffling electronics and samples shaped into a rather sinister vibe, like those evil castle levels of Nintendo. Five tracks and then a remix of one of them by 22 Metre Band (so... six tracks). Groove-oriented / rhythmic.

the Hit Device
Reality Fighters ep 7"
Hyperactive, guitarless "electronic punk" from San Francisco, with rebellious vocals to boot. More melodic than not, and ambitious as hell, dropping thanks inside to Bratmobile, Lung Leg & At the Drive-In, but sounding more like Winterbrief. Energetic dancin'-fool type? Pick this up.

Winterbrief
Take the Town cd
Spunky high-energy pop-punk new wave in the vein of Bis. Lots of shouts and pogoing going on.  Predominately girl vocals with boy backups, this Philadelphia duo of Jan & Julian are rightfully pretty popular in Europe. Cool remix by the Hit Device on here as well. Check it out.

Winterbrief
"A Sucrose Polyester" 7"
This first Intellectos release contains three Winterbrief tracks ("A Sucrose Polyester", "Love Seat Sofa Charade", & "Repressant"), slightly different than the Take The Town cd material, apparently a little older, still easily worth the price of a seven-inch.
