JENHITT
IN THE COLD LIGHT OF WINTER cd
Way decent angular noise-pop five piece, girl vox, a decade behind Velocity Girl but from the same D.C. scene. 14 tracks going from beautiful and heartfelt stuff to fuzzed out guitar noise. Songs change on a dime. Great now-defunct young band on Shute Records, old label of Q And Not U drummer and Held Like Sound zine guy John Davis.

...IS IN HOUSTON cassette
DC band that was too young for their own good, they coulda been swept up in the whole TeenBeat scene or something like that back when our capitol was a pop hotbed. Anyway, 4 tracks, including alternate versions of "Hiding Pennies" & "Things Change" off the full-length (In the Cold Light of Winter) that would come later. Real good math-y noisepop w/ girl vox.

PROTOTYPE SOUND SERIES : NUMBER ONE 7"
4 sweet, sharp noise-pop tracks from the scene that spawned Velocity Girl, Tuscadero, and so much more. Remember D.C. back then? This is it. Mixed by Rob Christiansen (Eggs, Sisterhood of Convoluted Thinkers) & Matt Letsinger. Feat. Costas Nakassis (A Study In Her, Like Chapels & Cations) as real young guitarist.
